I noticed in some peoples engine pics of there carb cars there air filter is open on the sides and has just the lid on it where do i get a setup like this my car seems like the air flow is a little too restricted. Also is this bad for my engine cause i use my car for work without it i have no job so reliability is a very big concern to me. :help:

Picture the part that your airfilter sits in well cut the sides off and rest the lid on the filter so the carb is coverd then screw the lid on thats what i mean i saw a pic of it and can't find it but thats what i wanna do.

i flipped the lid on my carb it looks like there are no sides on it, ill take a pic and post it, all you need is to take off the cover and flip it upside down and screw it back on, leaves a big gap for extra airflow, sonds tight as hell to when you start suckin that extra air in, nice and deep

I am in NB in canada but i don't want a webber there too hard to adjust and this cold weather probally be hard to get running, also a pick of the flipped lid would be cool to see if thats what i'm talkin about.

Webers are easy to adjust... and you wont have to change any jets if you don't want to.

The DGEV that comes in the kit has it's own choke and you can keep the intakemanifold heater as long as you plug up the coolant port that was under the stock carb.

The only real difference is that you wont have the preheater hose off the heat shield providing warm air to help heat the carb and fuel.
