On the weekend I went out and put a deposit down on an '88 EXi coupe. It was in great condition... or so I thought. Today I had a mechanic do a safety inspection on it to get it on the road. Well, it truns out upper parts of the front wheel wells are rusted out which runs a huge risk of having the struts just pop right through into the engine bay. He said it would cost upwards of $1500 to fix, not to mention any other minor things it may need. So I'm going out tonight and getting my deposit back from the guy that I was going to buy the car off of, and I'm be stuck with the old LX until I find something better.
