Well last night i finally got the beast running!! I adjusted the distributor all the way advanced (retarded?) and it started right up. I even took it out for a cruise. Its running really rough and i'm not sure why, but i'll figure it out. The timing needs to be fixed. I dont have a timing light, so i went by the 'feel' of it. Its also throwing a code 10 which is the intake air temperature sensor. I need to figure out where it is and take it off my old motor and see if that helps.

After sitting in the yard for 18 mo the flex pipe rusted out so its pretty loud now, so i'll have to get that fixed soon.

but yeah, i'm hella excited. Im gonna try to take of work early today so i can go up when there's day light and wash the sucker and get it running right.

are those cosmo AFPR's any good? for $160 you can get an AEM that are made for our cars as opposed to the universal ones cosmo makes.

cosmo has theirs on their website for $90.50.

oh btw. i found a link on HMT, there is a guy who will bore out your TB for any honda, and make a new butterfly, and make sure it will all work and seal for $100 with return shipping included, with a 1-2 day turnaround time!

4mm bore. which he claims is the most he can safely get without risking issues about sealing the butterfly

i have a friend w/a machine shop that might be able to do it for basically free..... :D does it matter how its done as long as its bigger and doesnt compromise the TB?

i think it just needs to be strong enough and still seal. if u could get a butterfly made for it, thats the critical part. not actually boring it out. cause we could do that with a dremel ya know... :)

we have the stock manifold, and the downpipe, all the way back to the cat, manifold has a complimentary o2 sensor without tail that we couldnt get off.

its an 86lxi manifold though, so its the 4-1, u will have to use our manifold too... :(

but you are welcome to them , we havent thrown them out yet, so they are yours if u want them. shipping would be unreal, i dont know if u awnt to pick them up for meet somewhere, or i could try to get to the meet and bring them, just let me know. but at least i know not to throw it out! ;)

just bring em to the meet in a couple weeks if you're going. Im having some timing issues right now so i wont be able to make it up to portland right now. Once i get my timing fixed i may be able to get em sooner then the 21st.
