View Full Version : Cold air intake for Carb????

I seen pics of carbs with cold air intakes but I cant find a how-to... I wanted to know how put a cold air intake for my carb cuz its seems difficult cuz the stock airbox has all those vacuum tubes vs. cold air intake only has like one tube.

You need to get a 88-91 Civic airbox, and cut a bigger hole to fit over the carb.
Then do the vacuum line removal listed in the howto section.
Then its all a matter of getting the correct pipe and filter.

you still only use 1 or 2 hoses, i wrote a how to on this as well.
the first hose it actually two hoses togeter.
Connect #17 and the large vacuum hose #16 (this hose isn't labled.) together with a connector you can find at checkers... then plug that into the intake pipe. The other hose to the intake is the one from the valve cover.
