well you mark the body of the distributor and you mark the cylinder head near one of the screws that secure the distributor to the head.

I used the sharp edge of a screw driver and gouged in a mark between the dis and head.
but you can use a sharpie.

any who as long as you mark the distributor before you remove it you wont need you readjust the timing.

the LX-I distributor has 3 bolts. the LX one has 2.

hey solja... I have the 3-bolt part you need to mount the lxi dizzy.

hmmm has anyone ever pulled their distributor out and noticed the o ring? or is there something else around there that would allow it to leak?

umm i was told (from here) and discovered that the dizzy goes on one way so it could'nt mess up.

From experience, I know that Honda distributors can only be installed one way. Also from what I remember there is a difference between a fuel injected model and a carburated model.

this is not LXI distributor. this is DX or LX distributor. this one is TEC distributor with outside ignitor. EFi and carb Tec distributors look the sam, but EFI has 3 bolts and this one one has only 2.
this distributor will fit without any major problems.

Tec distributors are better, and yes they have diff cap.

but even so, the efi distributor will fit the carb engine, ive done it, and i still have an efi dist on my carbed engine, only difference is the lx-i has a block that spaces it farther from the head

So far I've seen 3 different dizzys for the carb... I think 2 are hitatchi and one it tec... you have a hitatchi with the metal vacuum advance diaphragm... there is also a hitatchi with a plastic diaphragm.

Well if you have an LXI Stick with the LXI distributor because you'll need that extra connection is has on the distributor body... I just provided info on swapping related parts between motors. Like if you were converting an A20A1 to EFI or and A20A3 to carb.
