I bought a carbuerated 1989 Accord coupe a few days ago. It is having EGR tube issues so I found the easiest way to remove the tube is the unscrew the exhaust end, then take off the air cleaner. Then cuss and throw tools around. After you have cussed for several minutes tie a rope around the carbuerator (after removing some bolts) and tear it out. Then start tearing out that wad of crap in the vacuum control box thingy. Then change the car to be fuel injected.

I sawed the base/mount off with a hacksaw & capped it with a home-made aluminum spacer bolted down with a home made gasket . . .

. . . it's . . . well . . . ghetto rigged is the only term coming to mind . . .
