Its been a long while since ive been around here and i'm not sure if people know yet. But, I ran by clear bumper lenses for sale for 88-89 3rd Gens. Now this didnt strike me asodd as much as the fact that it was a companies that are selling them. So for anyone who doesn't know yet & wants some clear bumper lenses. Here you go: ProCarParts.com (http://www.procarparts.com/store-list.asp?categoryID=4&subcategoryID=23&maker=HONDA&model=ACCORD&year=1989) makoautotrends.com (http://www.makotoautotrends.com/search2.asp?sMaker=11&sModel=81&sYear=1989)

This has been visited upon many a time.

I have those, they are ok... pretty expensive for something that takes about an hour of work... I just got mine from there because one of the housing of my bumper lights was broken, thus to replace them.

its much better just to do it yourself. but for people who do not want to risk breaking anything, then thats a great option.

Both Aaron(bdaccordguy) and myself have clear Bumpers, mine is from Procarparts and he DIY his own, they look the same... unless maybe you get a microscope and start checking for defects, etc.

It always depends on the age of the plastic. Obviously older plastic won't look as clear as new plastic. (At least when its new)

I had home made clear lenses and then ordered the procarparts lense, and the difference is noticable... But like some people have said it depends on how old the lenses are and how good of a seal you get when you do your own clears... Mine leaked and started to get funky inside...

Yeah I got mine from procarparts, they look so much better. Still waiting to install those clear side markers that I got from Mike.

yeh.. the ones i made are shown in the pic in my siggy.. id say they look pretty damn clear for being the stock lenses, course it also helps that i got an incredible seal when i did em.

yeah, read on here somewhere to just use a heat gun, but that didnt work for me, then i read that u can boil the lenses and then gently pry off, and that worked the best in my case, besides, the steam and hot water loosen up any dirt, so they are easily cleaned....
