hi guys,

i've changed the cam seal when swapping cylinder heads and now it's leaking! I used an non-OEM  seal and the old one wasn't leaking. The question is what to do (besides using an OEM seal) to fix that? Is there anything particular about our seals (positioning...etc...)...or should an OEM seal just solve it?

cheers!

I've come to learn that on Honda seals, OEM Honda is the only way to go.
Just tap and insure that it seats. Also did you score the journal while removing the old one. Remember to lube with Moly (just a light film)
Hope this helps. LOL

ok...thank's guys..

about lubing...it's the cam that should be lubed?...the inner part of the seal..right?

and shepperd...a follow-up question...what is the right place?...isn't it 'all the way in'?

cheers!

Just a light film on both surfaces to allow the seal to seat without much drag/resistance.

no it shouldn't be all the way in.
