Which models of 3g accord carry the 2.0 DOHC motor. Cause i thought my friends se-i was a 1.8 SOHC. So is that carbed motor that one or what? Im asking this because asp makes a 20% reduction underdrive pulley for a 2.0 DOHC 86-89 accord. Even if its a different motor would the pulley be compatible because the accessories would be similar if not the same? Anyways someone fill me in.

the only motor i can think of is B20(jdm spec.)
i know that 86-89 accord in US never had DOHC engine.
I am not sure about Canada.

Well I wonder if that means you can still use the pulley, i might e-mail them because i know the DOHC means its referring to a different motor but i wonder if it would work on the pulley on my friends se-i.

your friend's SEi is an 85 right? unless it's non-us spec. If it is an 85 any 84-85 crank pully should fit, the engine numbers are the same

It's an 89 and the pulley supposedly fits an 86-89 2.0 DOHC.

yeah, get more info on that. If they fit our cars that might be nice. I think i once heard that they cause wierd harmonics in the engine or something.

It can unbalance the crank due to being so light. If you balance the crank with it on though, it shouldn't cause too much of an issue.
