are carbs equipped with a secondary fuel filter?? .. if yes, where is it???

there are two filters for carbed accords. one is next the fuel tank and one under the hood next to the carb.

I think the manual says every year or 15,000 miles. I change both of mine yearly.

Hey Gekko, you have a pgmfi fuel system.

He has a carb so its differant.

i thought that it was simular with both carb and PGM-FI in the engine .. but now i know =)

i replaced the main filter.... the secondary is smaller and more expensive ??? wtf ?

Just buy a good big filter and put it right before the carb... there is really nothing special about our filters.

If you're worried the hard line might get clogged then keep the rear filter as well.

I think I am just gonna run a new line to bypass the first filter and get a nice big clear filter for beside the carb. Thanks for the idea. :cheers:

So then you found the filter? If not look for a house that comes out of the firewall on the drivers side and plugs into (if you are at the front of car facing the windshield) the carb on the right (drivers) near the top. In between these two places you'll find the filter about 2 inches long.
