Hi,
I have a accord 89 with 321000miles carb automatic.
The other days when i was quitting home to work my wife
saw some puff of black smoke come out the exhaust when i started the car. What it can be oil or over rich mixture?? I was using very high performmance oil amsoil 5w30 and i never notice oil problem before. Aslo i never change anything on the motor. But the other days i was having problem with the idle speed so i rise the idle speed maybe when i shut off the engine to much fuel can in the combustion chamber??

Please need help its oil or fuel?? And does can be dangerous?

make sure the vacuum line to the power valve is still connected and make sure tyhe choke is opening. After 321000 miles it's probably caused by a worn out carb (gaskets and o-rings mainly).

can cause some other problem???
because i play with the a/f mixture to adjust the idle because
i was bad.
if its was oil its will be blue ???
a the problem is doing this only for 2 secondes when i start the car

well, if the back smoke comes out all the time it is your rings but in your case i would say it just too rich when you start.

best solution is to get a carburetor off of another Accord, I had a similar problem, it's just too complex to try and fix, it's easier to go and spend $40 U.S. for one in a junkyard

hey pos carb!
I have a accord carb on my garage i buy it before playing with
the a/f of my car. I took it for 20$$ at the junk yard
but can i just run the car like that???
because its only for two secondes at the start up!!

yes it will still run... if that extra carb you've got has ever been turned upsidedown chances are it won't work anymore

i never flip the carb!!
but i open it the flood chamber to see how its works??
and how can you determine if the carb work without put it on
a car???
