Hello i am trying to get some information on how to repair my girls 88 accord LX. Much props to you guys for the site i really dig it. anyhow on to the real stuff

The car starts and warms up fine, but after warming up you cannot keep the car alive. you can drive it, but you must keep your foot on the gas otherwise it will stall out. It gets worse under a load, but i am almost 100% positive it has nothing to do with the ALT. or Battery. hope to hear from you guys soon and any help is more than appreciated.

Thanks

Magny

you probably got a vaccum leak, the very same thing happened on my 78 camaro. major vaccum leak and wouldn't stay on. Although they are both different engines, but are both carbed, the only thing that pops in mind (after remembering about my camaro that my brother blew the head on, R.I.P., he forgot to add oil knowing there was an oil leak), is a vaccum leak.

Oh BTW :welcome:

Could be the choke not opening.

it is something related to chocke vacuum. check the vacuum lines for any cracks. even slight crack can cause the car to die.
