for less than the price of a b 16 swap you can have your A20 pull 160 easy justanothermike did it and he has dyno proven it too.

Yea but 88starter, your also on a limited platform. The b16 pulls 160 hp stock, but look at all of the bolt ons, turbos and anything else you want for it available. So its called wieghing your options for the long run. Do you want MAX output at 160 or do you want to go higher then 160 in the future? Id say 160 is the max on a N/A a20a.

I agree with nate.

I can't believe this but two people in a row that agree's with nate.

Going with suped up A20A will be cheaper than doing the B16A swap but however, like nate said you will be limited It just depends on your goals and MONEY$$$$$. There is nothing wrong with supping up the A20A. The JDM B20A swap would be real nice too also cheaper than the B16A with same output and alot of more torque. But with the B20A you are in the same situation as the A20A you are limited to your aftermarket support. The B16A is deffinitly the cheapest when it comes to the aftermarket support and deffinitly worth looking into.

Yea you can eventually get more out of a b16a but remember mikes A20 is all only bolt on's also the torque is much more besides not to many of us here would have much money after that kind of swap. Most of us being students and all.

HP really doesn't mean anything. Horse power is a function of torque, which combines rpm and torque to produce horse power. the only reason my A20 doesn't have that high horse power is because max torque is reached at a lower RPM then the B16. the higher rpm torque rating renders a higher horse power with the B16. The botom line is that the B16 will never produce the amount of torque at such a lower rpm then the A20 can with out forced induction. its just to small:(
