I've heard that some oil dribbles out. Don't know how much. Since you have a 5-spd, that shouldn't be a big deal, just put a pan under there. Report back if you try it! :)

I never have. I think the manual says that you have to but when I've done mine on my automatic, I just jack up the car high enough that it doesnt drain out.

i just replaced the passenger side cv shaft. when taking it out, a lot of fluid leaks out. I just plugged it real quick and then put in the other axle. I took the axle off a 1986 Lude and i knew the accord would leak. i was prepared. BTW where is the filler hole on the 5 speed tranny. i gots to fill mine up!

Up from the drain hole. You can see the plug bolt and fill it from the engine compartment using a tranny funnel. :)

When I did mine, it leaked a lot.....and yes its a 5 speed, just throw some 10W-30 in that bad boy and your ready to go. I think your supposed to fill it back up to plug level.

Use either a good 10w30, or Honda MTL. Don't know what mobil trans oil is, exactly.
