4-wire Oxygen Sensor Conversion

Well, I was wondering if anyone actually tried the conversion shown on www.ludespeed.com??

My problem is that the B20A has only 1 hole for an O2 sensor and the Lude ECU I plan to use (and the Accord ECU) needs 2 O2 sensors (which cannot be installed in the B20A exhaust manifold)

So, does it work or not?

That looks like a good idea worth trying.
You could always get a bung, drill a hole and weld it into the B20 manifold for a second sensor.

cant see why you just cant use the one 4 wire sensor connected to the 2 ecu input wires for closed loop operation as it will still do the same job, but quicker with the heated sensor. Although mounting position may have some effect on sensor operation

In the lude article,it seems to suggest that it will work, as he has left the old one's in and fitted the 4 wire lower down the manifold.

Tried to find his diagnosis of his problem,...check light or just poor driveability or maybe it started after he connected the A/F meter to the sensor wire, giving a low voltage/lean mixture reading......at low rpm's.........????....

I was thinking about doing that with 2 o2 sensors.. Altho it should work putting both of yours into 1 sensor for your B20, infact if you read carefully that is what he did

yeah i was about to say, starter was talking about it too. I have seen pretty much all turbo motors, run these O2 sensors and they call em Wideband O2 sensors. SOme old turbo motors ran three wire O2 sensors.

Running the two O2 sensor leads off of just one O2 sensor would not be a problem IMO.
