Well i still have my permit and my 89 se-i needs to be fixed. My mom says if it cost more than 1500 to get fixed you might as well sell it and buy a newer car. What would you do? I think it needs a new timing belt, there is an exhaust problem, there was no anti freeze in the car all winter and it was just sitting and i jumped it today to move it and the engine was smoken. I could buy a 90-94 accord for under 4geez and i could get a civic around that same price range. also my car has 203,000 miles. Tell me what i should do! :help: :help: :help:

whats the body condition like?? how bout the interior?

if those are both good... find a low mileage shortblock (100K) at the junkyard for like 500 bucks... then buy a new hiflo cat (50 bucks) and a cat back with a new muffler... 250 bucks...

so thats 800 bucks... and if you cant do an engine swap yourself, it would be like 500 bucks to get it installed... so your up to 1300 and you have a WICKED ass car, super reliable and pretty quick and luxurious...

damn dxsquared it's like you did'nt say nothing.
i'ma be honest puleo, your better off fixing the se-i up.
think of it u already have leather, power everything, moonroof.
put some anti-freeze in, fix the timing belt, run it for now it'll be fine.
why get rid of you se-i for a lx a 4g at that which is slower than the carb's.

You could part it out. Might be worth more that way.

you' miss it if you sell it, the se-i is WAY nicer then A 4g
just fix it, i have a dx with 346k miles on it and its got the resale value now of a 86 schwin mt'bike but i have still put 1500-1800$ into repairs alone forget mods,
its so worth keeping it, if you were to keep it and swap a less mileage motor in it
it would be like a brand new car again, if you spend the cash on a 4th gen accord you still face more probs!
