Power or manual?

Since I have a moonroof already, the guy told me 200 bucks. But I guess it depends. Oh yeah, this was for a manual flip up.

I have a dealer installed aftermarket moonroof in my coupe that is in many ways superior to the factory moonroof I had in my two LXi sedans. It was put in by a company called C&C in Brighton, MI but they went out of business. I did a little search just now and came up with these guys:

http://www.sunroofdoctor.com/

They sell both the popout style and electric roofs; they should have one that you would like. As far as getting one installed, it would help if your profile showed us where you lived. :D

Powered aftermarket run $700 usually and popup runs $400. I paid $400 for my popup. If you go factory again you'll pay at least $1200.

my moonroof leaks, it came with the car (im pretty sure) but a leaky moonroof is annoying as hell, and the owner before me spraypainted it black, yes sprayed it, so it looks like crap. Gonna wait till summer to fix it good!

I was wondering about that too. My old coupe has a badass sunroof in it and since its probably going to the junker i'd like to take the sunroof out and put it in my hatch, but im guessing its gonna cost an arm and a leg to get it installed. The sunroof i have costs $1000 through the only shop in oregon that does aftermarket electric sunroofs.
I dont know how much it would cost to have them install it though. . . . .

the biggest problem with leaking sunroof's is the drain plugs get clogged. Get an air compressor and get some kind of attachment where you can blow out the drains. That should help considerably with your leaking problem.

Where are the drain plugs on it?

if u take off the upper panel there's a clear/ brownish hose those have a habit of cloging.
maybe it'll b cheaper if i got one from the junker's then paid someone to install it.

they're in the corners of the sunroof inside the roof. Should be one in each corner. 2 that drain down the front a pillar, and 2 that drain down the back pillars.

Well...when my 89 Lxi is finally picked over, you can bring a sawzall and cut the roof off of it, then weld it up to yer car !!!
(sounds easy if you say it fast)

well that sucks. i just called the company that installed my sunroof and they said its unlikely that they would re-install my sunroof in my hatch. i hate monopolies. they can be so picky about what they do.

I have an ASC aftermarket one on my coupe and it is tight. $1000 is about right for a one touch power jobbie.

How hard is it to install a moonroof yourself? I have a working 88 Honda LX and a '89 EX-i that has a moonroof. Is it really diificult to remove it and install it into my LX. If i don't, does anyone wanna buy it?

the only thing that would be hard is cutting the roof into a perfect shape.
