hey everybody i slamed into the back of a jeep wrangler last year (bad brakes) anyways it was not that bad and i was able to get a new hood and headlight assemblies i banged the rest of it out myself using barbarien tools and managed to get the headlights pretty lined up . but the radiator mounting posts and the mounting rescesses for the headlight assemblies look pretty beat up.so i saw on partsexpress.com that they sell new kits to replace these parts i think but it was a crappy drawing of the kit and what i want to know is this a bolt on kit or does it need welding? i have never removed my fenders or anything so i cant tell.also have any of you guys had to do this any suggestions?im slowly trying to bring this 87lx into the potential it has and this bothers me. by the way this site was sent from god planning on doing the vaccume line removal.

I smased up my front end pretty good last year. I didn't fix it myself though. I let a body shop do it. They replaced the upper radiator support, hood, hood latch, bumper, radiator, a/c condensor, and the hood latch. They did whatever to get the structural supports back out and straightened as much as the could. I think the new parts you're talking about have to be welded because I don't think any bolts are shown.

Does anyone know if it would hurt the structure of the car if you actually bolted on the radiator support instead of welding it? cause some cars do have these bolted on.

i doubt it would hurt anything, my old civic's (89-90-88) all had bolt on rad. supports
