Hey everyone. I'm a newbie to your board and just wnated to introduce myself. I'm unfortunatly not a 3rd gen honda accord owner, but I do own a honda. I own a 92' Civic VX. I am in the process of moding it out. I haven't started yet though. I really like like the car, one thing I love about it is it's incredibly light, and pretty damn fast off the line, despite being stock. It's got light weight alloys, and is stripped to the bare bones so it's total weight is only 680kg. Well I was wondering what year and type of enigine I should put into my civic, I was thinking maybe an integra engine, or something along those lines. Well hope to get to know everyone on the board.

Welcome to the board bro....I'm sure even though you have a civic everyone here can be of some help. As far as the engine it all depends on what you want to spend and what you are looking for. Do you want more torque or high end, also what HP and torque range do you want to be in? It is also possible to have the best of both worlds, for a price :D Another factor is if you are wanting a N/A engine or do you plan on going with forced induction (turbo, N2O)?

Welcome to the board you will find alot of help on here. There are a few members who really know thier stuff around cars. With the 5th gen civic the mods are unlimited it just depends on what you want to do and how much you are willing to spend.

Well, I want teh most hp i can get, I want to run quick quarters, I'm into the drag seen, not really auto cross or longer distance races. I'm seriously not trying to sound stuck up or anything, but money really is no object for the car. Every penny I make goes into my babies. So far, I've got just about 43'000 smakers saved for the civic, and I'm starting a fund for my Camaro. Once the 43 runs out on the civic, if I'm nto done, I can always add more. So gimme some Ideas on some major power. BTW, if you can include prices with your ideas, that would be a great help.

Well were to begin let see how about a 350 crate motor and be done with it. Turn the civic into a rearwheel drive and fitting that 350 in there should use all of that 43 grand.

Or, more resonably you could put the H22A in there with a turbo and go balistic. There is a How-To in the SCC mag. Sept. 2001 issue page 176. HASport has the engine and transmission mount kit and the wiring harness kit. The kit # is M92-H22-10 which comes with all the brackets and hardware needed to bolt any H- or F- series engine into a 92-95 civic or 94 and up integra.

Thanks guys, the info on the H22A is interesting. Do many people have them, I'm trying to go for something a little less common. And the reason I don't just go out and by a supra, is it's not a honda lol! I love my VX, it was mom's before it was mine and I love the lil thing.

welcome on board.
if you do H22 swap you will need to do a lot of mods to it.
i would say B18C, JDM specs, 197Hp@8000/134lp-ft@6200
i think there is supercharger for it. i know people turbocharge it easy.
or you can go with B16A 160hp@7600/111lb-ft@7000 i know that you can supercharge it very easy. Vortech makes nice supercharger. with 10psi boost you can run 250Hp easy.
go to Vortech website and check it out.

Do this bro.....it will be rare and a kickass engine. B20B block from a CRV, put a VTEC head on it, say from an integra B18. Have some pistons custom made by JE or wiseco, Just make sure that the pistons hold an 11:1 compression or lower. Do a port and polish, then slap in a Integra type-R cam and manifold. You would then be able to turbo that without a problem, you would get 200-300 HP easily with this setup and atleast 150 ft lbs or torque.....Your civic would be a force to be reconed with, this doesn't even include the bolt-ons.

Welcome, Kemperz! Sorry I can't help ya out with engine stuff but a 300-hp Civic would indeed be one bad-ass machine.
