these bulbs claim to hit 7000k where that is literally BLUE. Course a little H4 halogen bulb cannot do that. Perhaps it might emulate the same color but certainly not the same brightness HID with 7000k does.

Usually the blue tint around the light bulb just means there is a filter than only allows blue light to go through and the rest of the light is...well...blocked.

IMO, get some halogen/xenon lightbulbs and yea.. don't use ebay on it. Most of the crap on there is crap quality for h4 light bulbs.

You alway get more light output if they are not tinted. The human eye is most sensitve to colors that are closer to the yellow spectrum. H4 without tint are brighter than h4 with blue tint. Using equivelent temp as an advertising claim is misleading. The HID'd on my S2000 are 4500K. Daylight is around 5500K I am sure that HId's ar brighter than H4 with a 7000K claim.

I think all the ones on ebay are ok. They are cheap brands. But I've bought some and they are just fine.

Mine from OptionRacing are 4300K, but don't seem to make a lot of light on the pavement

The brightest I've found are the Silver Stars I got at Advance Auto. Pricey though

I have found from personal experience that if you want bright and blue, then check out this website EuroDezigns (http://www.eurodezigns.com) . I bought several pairs of lights and found them to have the brightest. They also have colors as well.

Yeah, you have to have the H4 conversion headlights. You can find those on ebay real easy.

Personally, I run the PIAA Xtreme Whites, and couldn't be happier. They actually put out a white light, which I liked. I'd tried a couple other brands and they all had a bluish tint that I didn't dig, plus they lit the road poorly. The only downside to PIAAs is that they run about $50-60. Well worth it though.

i did a comparison on the Sylvania Silver Star H4's against my GE Super Blue H4's. the silver star lit the pavement less. so that would have been $40 some wasted. good thing i took those back!
