The bottom mount meaning the piece that the big pin goes through?

ha ha ha ha ha h aha......If so your in luck cause I had the same problem!

OK..take the pin out and clean it. Sand it and lube it so its like butter going in and out..this will help!

Take the alternator out and shave down the casting where it plugs into the bottom of the mount. Use a dremel if you have it or a file if you dont. It will just take longer. Take a mm off and check, then do it again until the alternator goes in and out like pure butter.

THEN..take that buttered pin and do it up!

Is pin #12 the piece you are having trouble with?

Sometimes the bottom mount is so friggn tight you cant!

Mine was like that!

It took me 2 days to get my alternator in until I said fawk it and took the dremel to the alternator casting and shaved it down a little!

I had to grind about 1/4 of an inch off the bottom of the alternator for it to go in.

I bought a BOSCH alternator and for some reason their castings are a little to big.

You gotta take it out and shave it down a little!

I had about 3.5mm too much metal on there!

You can always hammer it in there but good luck trying to get it to line up with the pin properly!

Its less effort to take it out, grab some newspaper and sit down and watch a little TV while you shave away!
