Is the fel-pro head gasket that a person would buy at Schucks a standard gasket for many honda cars? The reason I ask is because many of the journals, I belive for coolant, are partially covered. I noticed this on my old head gasket as well... Just found this a little odd....

I use the Felpro gasket...never had any probs with them. The reason they are not totally cut out for the cooling passages is to retain strength. They dont restrict the cooling flow.
If you put one up against a Honda gasket, you will find no difference in the cutout pattern.

I would NOT use the felpro crap gaskets. Use an Ishino, Nippon Reinz, or OE gasket if you want it to last. But no, you don't have to worry about those holes. The OE gasket has them too.

only use OEM honda gaskets for critical areas.
