ok i'm lookin for a good spot to mount my EQ but i was wondering what the heck that little black box is thats under the stero/ash tray part of the dash...its mounted by just two brackets....any ideas?

i think what you are asking is the box with a plug on the bottom am i right?

i see....would it matter if i removed it? cause it'd be a sweet spot for my eq

The ding-ding is mounted on the inside of the panel under your steering wheel. The box you're talking about is the "integrated control unit" that controls a bunch of engine functions & lights. Move it, but don't remove it. :)

woah..thanks...heh heh....ok...what kind of engine functions does it control? and what does the ecu control....i'm not used to computers and IC's in cars...lol and i'm not even old

It does the dinging and controls your turn signals up front.

People, don't get old! That's the headlight chime under the wheel. My bad! :eek: It does turn signals, oil pressure warning, seat belt & key warning, ignition key light, controls light chimes, side markers. :)
