I've got a vacuum leak and I was wondering would it be best to get it fixed or to just remove them all? I don't have to pass any tests as far as I know but I'd rather get the leak fixed if it doesn't cost to much. How much do you think it would cost to get the leak fixed?

You are better off doing it yourself. If you pay a mechanic you will probably pay at least an hour in labor.
So that could easily be $50 - $100
If the leak is from just one or two hoses you can fix it with 50 cents worth of rubber hose.
I reccomend the vacuum line removal, that should help wake up your car a bit.

I would just pull all the emission but if you don't fix the leak your self, it is pretty much a trial and error process so I mechanic isn't going to do it any better then you could.

Just pull them all off. With 30-40 lines, you'd probably spend a day finding the leak.

Damn, I'm glad I only have two vacum lines. :)

Same here. If I got a leak, I can find it real quick.

Depends on where the leak is. Take a can of carb cleaner spray, with the little tube attached, and spray all your fittings individually with the engine running. If your idle picks up at a certain spot you are spraying, you have found the source of the leak....easy fix (unless it's something like a cracked intake manifold, or brake booster)
Good luck !!!

Yea the only hoses I have is the MAP sensor and distrubitor advance.
