go buy yourself a intake for a (92-00 I think) Civic. cut off whatever you need to off of the Filter end with a hacksaw. and Voila, instant custom intake!!!

I think that it's 92-95 Civic intake (at least that's what I have). I don't know how the intake for the civic is designed from 95-00, so I'd say go with the 92-95 civic tube and cut about 3 inches off the end.

$130 bucks that's a rip off, goto autozone, well atleast that's where I saw it. The intake tube for 92-95 or whatever costs I think about 40 bucks, and the air filter costs about $25 or so. So for half that price you can have one.....:D :D

You may think it is a rip off but my tube is ceramic coated and a K&N filter does outpeform an APC one alson with being resueable. How do I know it out peforms the APC one Well when I made a custom one for my friends empo I tryed out the APC filter and didn't even compair. So I was willing to pay the extra.

The tube they sell is the same tube you can order, not sure what type it is though. But you can buy whatever type of filter you want, the K&N's I saw only cost like 25-30 bucks. So overall it's still cheaper than buying the *Package* deal. :flipa: :werd:

see I told you that you can buy it much cheaper if you buy it seperately. What you have to do is completely take off the factory intake. unbolt the box and remove all the air intake tubes. This will give you much more space in your engine compartment. BUt then you have to size the tube up to make sure how much to cut off the filter end. After you cut it with a hacksaw, the just mount it right onto the throttle body, and tightened the worm clamp, then just put the filter cone on the other end and tighten the worm clamp too. YOu should be all set after that, if you have any questions just ask.....:stick:

so you take the original air box stuff off, then do you have to plug it or what. Does anybody have some close up pics of what needs to be done. or any other tips:huh:

That's the thing you don't have to block anything off, you just take off the whole stock air assembly. and you'll be right down the throttle where the air gets sucked in.....

i think u won't be able to fit it in if u don't cut it abit shorter..
just compare the pics of those of have an intake and one with stock intake...you should have a good idea after that
or do a search on the internet...even different cars are very similar
