I just figured I'd say hello. In about a week or so I'm gonna have my first 3g, an 89 lxi coupe. Got it for 2 grand and only 91 k miles and nothing wrong with it :) I can't wait! I love the site so far, I don't know a whole lot about diy right now but I'm gonna try and learn. It's great to find so many people in one place to help. Thanks everyone.

Welcome to the board. Sounds like you got a good buy. 91 K is low mileage for these cars. Good luck with it. If you stick around you should be able to learn quite a bit around here. You can find a lot of good info here, just search first because there is a lot of useful information all ready on here.

Yeah I wanna try and maybe do some mods but right now I'm a little short on cash. Anything out there for performance or appearance out there that might be relatively cheap? I've read a lot about the K&N air filters, are they really that much better than stock? And will they decrease engine life at all? Also I was just wondering if anyone knew about the Pioneer HU's. I was looking at the P550MP or the P5500MP and I'm pretty sure either would fit but I wasn't positive. Anyone ever used one of these and like it or know they'll fit? Thanks dudes

O yeah and I'll try and get some pics up here in the next couple weeks. I can't pick it up for good until spring break next week but after that I'll see what I can do.

Check out the How To section to learn about the many projects you can do on your own. Maybe you will find a mod that you can start on as soon as you get the car even. :)
