Down on Power??

4 months ago i had a 87 lxi hatch with 230,000 miles on it It hauled i toped it a 135 (guessing cause the speedo went to 130) anyway i sold that car and bought another one 87 lxi hatch. it was the same way at first, really fast. but latley it is really down on power it tops a 105 if im lucky. the only thing that has happened to it is that it overheated once because of the thermostat, but after it was replaced it ran fine w/ lots of power.

have you run a fuel system cleaner? Maybe your injectors are dirty. Also, check your spark plugs. If you drive it hard, they may be fouled.
