Sweet deal. Get some pics when you get everything on! I had pretty much that same muffler on the 94 Accord that I used to have. I ended up ripping off that silencer, and it sounded so nice nice...

Me neither and once you remove the scliencer it make them sound like a tin can.

Shane, hautingly that living room entertainment center looks very similar to the setup I had prior to my current setup. Still have the 27in sony in my room, gave away the Entertainment center, have the stereo in the workroom....

ANYWAYS, nice parts! When you get a chance, show us pics of the fart can and springs on the car. :)

LOL, Fart can, I like that actually :D. Um, the reason why the 'grapefruit shooters' are so apealing is that Civics don't come with nice mufflers like that of your Talon's, so we have to put nice looking aftermarket mufflers on. They fill the hole provided for the stock muffler much nicer, and they give the car a nice sound (or they can sound almost like stock with a silencer on them. It's all about the style. Thanks Jigga, I am trying to get away from the crowd with this car, unfortunately, the guy who had it before was a 'ricing conformist', so it came with all that crap that ALL civics have on them (lame looking altezza's, poorly done colored symbols, cumb looking seat covers, etc.) When I smoke the tails, and redo the interior black and white it will look pretty guhood in my opinion.

That is my bed room, not my livingroom. I am only 17, so I still live at home. Aae, I don't have a living room, my 'house' only has one room, lol.

Sorry, it reminded me of my poor college days living off of bologna and cheese sandwiches (which was rich food), good old water, and 3/$1 candy bars once a week if lucky...

LOL, why are you apologizing? I was just sayin', cause I have nothing else to do. Yeah, everything on that entertainment center was either givin to me, or somehow came into my possession under some other odd turn of events (ex: 32" Sony TV, inherited from my Aunt, lol) The x-box is my neighbors, but his parents don't like video games, so he leaves it at my house. The only things in my room that I actually paid for are the x-mod, the futon (doubles as my bed, lol), the comforter, and my Bass guitar, other then that, nothing is REALLY mine. Yeah, my room is pretteh ghetto.

Got the muffler put in on saturday. Looks good. A little TOO loud for my taste, but hey, that's what the silencer is for. I'll take some pics on thursday, the day after I get it lowered. I'll give it a nice wash. Also, hopefull if I have enough money, I will have the tailights tinted on tuesday.

i could be mistaken, but im 99% sure you got the wrong springs. Those are WAY too big for that civic. I could be wrong though.

If that muffler is too loud, you could get a resonator put on later down the road when you get some more money. Did you get a whole new exhaust put on or just the muffler?

LOL, yeah, I found that out the day after I brought those home. Those are for a new Monte Carlo. I was looking at the intallation instructions (Even though I work at schwab's, I am still not exactly sure how to install springs) and right on the front of the guide packet, it said it was for a 2000 (can't really remember which years it said) and up Monte Carlo. So I took them back, only to find my springs setting right next to it. Aparently, Kelly handed me the wrong ones cause he htought it would be funny, and freak me out when they wouldn't fit on my car :P. So I literally gave him a swift kick in the ass, :D. lol.

I got the pipiing replaced down to the cat. There's a place in town that does mufflers really frickin' cheap. The muffler cost me $51 total off of E-bay, and the work I had done was only $45, and he did a good job too. Looks and sounds great. I really need some headers though :P.

Godammit! I got the front right side out, and put the spring in no problem. But then I went over to the other side. I put the ratchet up to it, turned, didn't pop loose, put all my wieght into it, and it popped loose alright.... the head popped right off the damn thing. So now I have to take off that whole assembly to drill thorugh the busted bolt, and replace it. Then, the right rear.... I got it off alright, however, the strut that was on there had a stripped out allen head on it, so now I have to take a sawzall to it in order to get the peice off the tope that I need. I also need to find some way to break the bolt on it loose. Now the left rear :P, all the bolts are frozen on, and I don't want a repeat of what happened to the front left. This sucks so bad. Chris at work told me that he would take carre of it today when I am at school, I hope he did :P.

Cool stuff you got. I think it's funny the box with springs say "unleash the power" when they have nothing to do with power.

lol, you know, I had a conversation about that yesterday with a guy from work. Sorry I haven't taken the pics yet. My sister had a baby (two sisters in 3 months :P) so my mom skipped town with the digi cam. It looks mint all lowered and stuff. Now all I need to do is tint the tails (surprise bills! not happening until the 25th at the earliest :( ) Maybe tomorrow or monday with the pics. Oh yeah, I got a new GF :). Hopefully I will get a pic of the car with her in it. Alright, she might look really REALLY young, but she is really like 16, which is only one year younger then me. Again, not until tommorrow.

A FEW NOTES FOR LOWERING YOUR CIVIC:
- Half the bolts that hold on your suspension will be rusted in place
- A cutting torch is an effective way to remove such bolts, but you will then have to order new bushings and bearings
- Pressure drills are also an effective way to remove the thread of bolts with the head broken off of them
- The rear Struts will most likely be fully stripped out due to mental retardation of previous owner
- If you ordered Konis, allow up to a MONTH for them to get to your home (I said screw it and just put Eibach springs on there :P )
- Immediately after isntalling springs, get all your friends to ride in the car to get them to set right, other wise the piece of crap springs will settle crooked
- Be prepared to dedicate several hours to the drawn out installation prcess, while a normal lowering kit would take an hour and a half to install, the average Civic takes up to 6 hours due to the lack of care given to the vehicle by it's previous deadbeat owner :P
- When leaving the parking lot, go slowly. Especially if you don't want DENTS AND SCRAPES in your brand new exhaust :P. (That really pissed me off by the way!)
- Remember where all the tools came from that you threw across the shop
- Start saving for a hardcore bondo and paint job after kicking dents all along the side of you car
- Prepare to hide the body of the nearest human being to you at the time of peak anger

Remember this, and you will be okay after finishing with installation (and with 2 months of mental theropy)

hey man, it'd be cool to meet up with you sometime this summer, we'r the same age (i look older then your dad tho)
but yeah, civics commin along well! props....
if you want to stray away from the ordinary... you will have to put multi millions into it!
i think everythang from altezza's to mclaren engines have been put on civics, theres not a whole lot of origenality left ya know?

lol. I am trying to be as original as possible. Here in the Civic Tuning world, that means your car only looks like 4 million other Civics in the states, lol. If I can get it to look differently than the other 5 white Civics in my town. Thanks for the props though. It is making pretty quick progress. :D.

Well, I didn't get much response posting the pics in this old thread, so I am going to start a new thread with the pics on it. I thin most people think this is still the thread discussing when I get my muffleron :D. I've had those pics on for 2 days now, and only two replies :P. Thanks though.
