I'm new around here... so I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Dave, and I'm from Davenport, IA. Fairly new to the Honda scene, but I've got a few tricks up my sleeve.

Here's a few pix of my catruck, "Dazed And Confused". I've still got a ways to go with the interior.. work is busy and I'm waiting on a few parts still, but its slow but sure. Link to my pix are in my profile.

That's been posted before but it's still cool. That must have taken a ton of work to get that looking cool like that. Welcome to the board. Hopefully you get more crazy ideas to add to your Accord.

Hey man you need to bring that up to the Minnesota meet this summer! I know there's about 6 people coming from IA so you could too. It's at the Mall of America in mid-June.

Ok, to answer some questions I've had emailed to me... first off, I need to post more recent pictures of it, I'll do that probably tomorrow so u can see some more recent work I've done since those pictures were taken. The car has 111k miles on it.. and only had 104k since I started the transformation.

Those bars that span the bed were simply the supports that I had made to support the tonneau cover. It does have a tonneau cover now, yes homemade by yours truely. Its 1/2 MDF fiberglassed for waterproofing, then 1/2 foam layed on top of it wrapped in black vinyl. It does open using the old factory trunk hinges. Oddly enough the bed is VERY functional. I've held several hundred pounds of tools back there with no problems.

Those are the factory C-pillars pushed forward, but obviously not the factory rear glass. It came from a Volkswagon Rabbit.

The rims explained - an 80's look to it. The rest of the car has a late 80's feel to it.. so why not 15" aluminum blades.. besides.. they're light! ;)

Motor is basically bonestock at this point. I never knew this site even exsisted till I found a link buried in www.chicagolandaccordclub.com and thought I'd give it a look. I'm glad to be here... I need more ideas. :)

Suspension is lowered 2 1/2 inches with a drop kit. I'm thinking of just bagging the car here in the near future, but that'll depend on time. I am an installer for a living, you name it and I can prolly install it. From sunroofs to simtops, radios to rims.. fiberglass work, etc. I can do it. The accord is a project and practice. :)

My86dx4dr - Thanks for the props and the linkage. good to know the people like it or hate it.. I don't care, just as long as I get a rise out of you. I've had people pull me over just to get a closer look at it, and people pull me over just to try to light it on fire.

Why??? Why not???

Any other questions.. just ask me! :)

pimpn87 - Yup.. still FWD bone stock motor and manual tranny. newer plugs, wires, clutch, blah blah blah, but not modifications done to it other than OEM style replacements.

Forgar - crazy yes, definately. Ironically most people hate it. "Waste of time" "Don'tcha have anything better to do?" "Why?" I've heard it all...

Pretty neat idea. I'd like to see more shots of the interior and more pics of where pieces were grafted together...you should call it "El-Accordian".
