So i got my 10mm wires from mike this weekend and got them on last night after work. All i have to say is WOW. Even with everything stock, those HUGE wires help my idle and it has a tad bit more getupandgo. Deffinately worth the $40 to get em.

One thing that concerned me is that they are EXACTLY the right size. No slack in the wires what so ever. They barely squeeze on. But they do fit. When i get some more stuff done in my engine bay i'll post up pictures.

i heard they were good someone bought a set for his prelude and he was impressed for $40!! obviously nology or direct hits are better but their $150+ and do work but for $40 you get more efficient wires less electrical interference as their 10mm and will last a while as their well made.

Umm if you ever had Nology you would know that they suck hardcore. If you don't have perfect grounds for each plug wire you get really nasty radio interferance. And they really aren't that great of a plug wire. I will only buy Taylor wires for any of my cars now. I have my accord set with a couple spares for Cranes, but for my other cars its just Taylor b/c that is one of the best sets of wire you can buy.

just becareful when you pull on them. i broke mine just by pullin on it.
i didn't see any diff in performance or idle with crane wires.

my noticed change could be that my other wires might have been old, although they looked pretty good to me when i took em off.

I have a set of the Crane 10mm from Options. Have them in the garage on a shelf buried under a bunch of other parts and thats where they will stay. I ordered them AFTER I ordered my NGK wires as an upgrade and decided to put them on instead of the NGK's at my next tuneup. I put two on and put them back in the box and put the new NGK wires on instead. Don't like the fit, didn't like it at all so only 2 out of 4 went on then they went away. The NGK's cost me 10 bucks a set on closeout

hey,

I have been talkin the guys at the local performance shop and there is no need to throw on anything bigger than a 8.5mm wire. There are guys pushing 650hp out of small block chevy with MSD 8.5mm, that is what i run. When you go bigger than a 9mm wire you are basically just running a 8.5mm wire with a shit load of insulation around it. If you take a look at plug wire performance charts Taylors have a pretty good resistance of like 900 ohms where MSD has a resistance of like 100 ohms or something. Stock is like 3000 ohms. S o yeah my .02

No the cranes are really good, but I don't think Taylor has wires for the accord so the Cranes are what I use for my Accord.

I have never used much of aftermarket Wires, but i got the reg Blue NGKs, i dont think they are even 8mm, more like 6.5mm i supposed. They are not that bad. I dont know the great need for 10mm tho. I dont have an aftermarket coil either. but i have to sometime later. But shit, when i got the bosh platinums, they were awsome, my NGK Rs were just rotted out, it looked like shit tho. so yeah, i did see see a difference in the acceleration and more like to say, response after the ignition upgrades

NOTE: What exactly do u guys mean noise from the plugs? U mean the static noice that u hear when u have the radio on while the car is running and not when its turned off? or something else?

Those are suppose to be the right ones. The only difference between the 83-87 prelude wires is the codes 285(red), 286(blue), 287(yellow) they should fit, they'll just be hella tight. Thats why mine will sit on a shelf til I clean out the garage and throw them away

no, i think these were packaged wrong, cuz they would have to be stretched about 4" on the last 2 and about 2" on the first 2...

i dont know, im going to tell them they sent me the wrong ones.

i heard somewhere that with the MSD ignition and Coil to use MSD wires and MSD wires only because anyother wires wont work, is this true? i already have the crain 11.5 wires though. should i just go ahead and get the MSD wires? anyone know?

Just keep your wires and get a aftermarket ACCEL or MSD Coil and you will be fine.
