well, hopefully i should be getting the rear disc brake setup soon. i was wonder what u guys think are the best rotors and pads to get, without getting the big brake upgrade. and suggestions or links would be appreciated.

everyone seems to like the AEM/Nissin pads. A lot of sites list our brakes as being the same as 89-91 preludes. I want to get some brake upgrades for the SE-i, so if someone knows of a cheap place to get them, that would be totally sweet.

Some of the better pads thats everyone seems to like is the AEM and EBC Greenstuff pads. For performace rotors you can get either Power Slot or EBC. Look on NOPI and Tirerack, they have a good selection of brakes.

Or you could go to Meineke and get pads guaranteed to last the time you have your car :D

Brembo Blanks & Cobalt Pads.. I am not sure Cobalt makes pads for the A20..
Blank rotors offer more stopping than Slotted or dimpled rotors.

Axxis/Bendix pads are my favorites. I have Powerslot OEM size rotors on my Focus. They stop much faster than the stockies

The powerslot slotted rotors are good, and they are actually made by Brembo and say brembo on the rotors, but I'm using regualr pads on them so the stopping power isn't as good as it could be...

I liked my brembo blanks that I had on my 3g, they're cheap and they get the job done. My opinion is if you're only putting brakes on your daily driver you really don't need cross drilled or slotted rotors, just a nice set of pads.

I have Honda pads for the past almost 2 years and I have had them checked by many mechanics and they all say they are like new.

Bottom line.. Honda pads last a long time.

unless you are a delivery bomber and drive over 100 kilometers every day.

I'm going to get some AEM pads front and back. If I still need more stopping power, I'll get aftermarket rotors.

I drive about 10 miles everyday at least, on the weekends about 200.
