mycar died like it rasn out of gas. i have had fuel pump problems before so i pulled a line and was getting no fuel, so i changed the pump...well it still didnt work when i try to star it shoots a little fuel out of the pump then stops like power to the pump is gone. anyone?

main fuel relay, it is on the back side of the fuse box since you have carb.

Check your fuel filter.

you have to change both your fuel filters, the one in the engine bay and the other under the car near the fuel tank.

Also how does the fuel tank look like? does it have any dar coloration? was the screen clogged when u pulled the old one out? how are the electrical line going to it? also use paul's honda manual from his website for a carb and see how u can trouble shoot a fuel pump.

thanks shep ill try that,
other guys i replace all filters and pump& strainer,i pulled the line right at the pump, it shoots fuel just for a sec, i pulled pump back out and both new and old work fine on a battery

shepard, i pulled the relay and tested it,its only spitting out 7 volts and it should be 12 so id say its bad, for shits & giggles i wired it up to a fuel fump and it does run but on and off not full time like it should. i plan to go to the junk yard and grab a handfull of these and see what happens.thanks and ill let ya know what happened
