it doesnt look right due to the shape of our popup headlights.

in sleepy eyes, our popups dont actually line up with the horizon like the probe, it just looks rather odd IMO.

Project started I don't think it's finished yet though, and in my opinion and also what iv'e been planning to do, it will look better with the headlights all the way down and part of them cut out with the projectors shining through.

Edit:
Thought maybe I should explain myself a little better, I'm talking about taking the trim piece off, cutting the metal behind it and then having the projectors shine through where the trime would normally by.

it looks good as hell on the probe, but it wouldn't look good on our cars.

Hey, Hostile, I was thinking of taking out the trim and putting some really low profile headlights in there. Do you have a specific light in mind? I was looking at some aftermarket set-ups for 93 civics because the are really small. But I haven't measured it out yet. Do you already have a thread about your ideas on headlights?

Those are the lights I had in mind, I don't really have a thread started about it though.

Those lights look pretty slick.

Don't forget about this thread:

ah, thats those the pix i was looking for. i was going to make a thread about that too. i'd thought about putting some nice small round driving lights in place the the old headlight. but i thought it would look funny on our cars. it actually might look good. theres other ways of gettin that look. if you some how cut off the front area of the headlight lid where the eye brow thing goes, im sure that would look better.

So, how do we know which lights are legal to use as headlights? Sometimes I see people driving around at night with just the fogs on, and fogs on a truck bumper are higher than our headlights.

Can we just take any street-legal fog lights, make sure they're angled so people aren't getting blinded, and use them as headlights for this kind of project?

The one's that Hostile Java has picked out are a tri-beam fog light system and are also called a 'lighting system.' Are these standard, technical terms to legally differentiate them from 'fog lights' or 'driving lights.'
