you got the wrong tires mang... you needed 205/45/16's... they would fill up the wheel well ALOT more and give you a smoother ride.. plus they wouldnt have fucked up your speedo

I'm not so sure I'm digging that rim color & ride height combo. It definitely needs to be lower. Maybe it's the pic but to me it doesn't seem like the rim color goes with the car color very well. You're suspension looks good though. How do you keep it so clean?

wprocomp
03-18-2004, 09:59 AM
wash,wash,wash,....I know the color kind of clashes right now...but its no longer going to look like that...its getting new paint this month...but we will talk about that later hehe...I also have my own pressure washer...and it cleans VERY well...and a wire brush/drill combo works wonders!

yeah.. i was a lil worried that u were keepin ur car that color.. but now that you say you are painting it... i can see how itd look good with those wheels. Hopefully you paint it black or some dark color.

Looks really good on the car. I think the red from the rotors comming through the wheel is what makes it look so out of place, or atleast it does to me. I like the wheels though. What color you going to paint it?

wprocomp
03-18-2004, 12:28 PM
same color...but a bit darker with a pearl...I dont want to get oo wild then I will have to paint doorjams and the firewall....and I will work on getting it lowered...the calipers may be getting a glod powdercoat...but I think i may get rebuilt calipers....drilled/slot rotors are here too.....

Procomp you autoX right? MarkMDZ has been trying to get rid of 4 yokohama A-008R 185/60/13 track tires. Plenty of meat on them. Are you interested?

wprocomp
03-18-2004, 12:43 PM
actually still got some 13's with lots of meat left on them...but 13's wont fit over the se-i front rotor right? or do you mean 16's?

they are 13" autocross tires... R compound get nice and sticky when hot.

what is the ride like with the 40 series tires, cuz ive been wanting to do the circuit 8s (flat black though) for months now and wasnt sure to get 40 or 45 series. also, do you have upgraded shocks? and what kind of springs do you have?

I'll back up Wpro about the ride height. Us guys that live in the country in this neck of the woods will constantly bottom out if our shit's dropped too low. I like his idea about choppingthe damper forks. I think that would make it just right.

wprocomp
03-19-2004, 01:00 PM
yep us country folk cannot go that low...if you live in the city more power to ya...but I dont even have a cement driveway to my house...just dirt and rock...so belive me if I could I would go lower///plus autocrossing at that low of a height kills tires

 when i was living at my parents house, they have a 200 foot gravel driveway thats filled with potholes and i STILL drove my car up and down it for 2 years. Its called creative driving. Unless you have more gravel roads to drive on then pavement, a non-gravel driveway is not an excuse to dump your car. . . . . :D

unless you have some springs at 1.5"/1.8" to trade I would do it...but I dont feel like coughing up another chunk of change to make it lower

Nice car, but as someone said before (and what everybody is thinking ( :) )), it needs lowering!
