Does anyone know what if any mounts that are close to fitting on the rear strut. Second, does anyone know if there is a bar that is the same distance that the accord is or one that is close.

ANY INFO THAT YOU HAVE ON THIS WOULD HELP ME ALOT. IF YOU HAVE TRIED A BAR AND KNOW IT DOSEN'T FIT THAT HELPS ALOT TO.

Thanks
Matt

I heard a civic from 92-95 is very close. I just bought a civic front and rear strut bar off of ebay to work on as a project. I'll post pics of how close they are once I get them shortly. I also heard 4th gen accords are close too.

When you figure out how they fit and stuff make sure you let me know.

don't waste your time on the civic front bar it is crap. We are working on getting a quality bar for the front that bolts right on. I just got it and it fit perfect. Matt I heard that the 5G accord rear brackets will fit with modification, not sure on a bar.

hey man, i have a rar strut bar, no clue what its from, i can take measurements tomorrow if u want, what should i measure?

MattsAccord
03-23-2004, 08:19 PM
Measure the legth or the bar its self, how wide the hole in the mounts, and how much higher the bar sits then the mounts. Please let me know how many holes are in the mounts to the struts on the front have 3 but the back ones have 2. Thanks alot

the on i have is adjustable length wise, like the brackets can be loosened to make it longer and shorter, and the brakets only connect to one of the studs, and almost reach the other one. so u want me to measur how high it sits from the struts, how wide the holes are, and how long i have the bar?

aight, i got the bar from another member on the board. but here is what i measured

the bar itself is 29"
the mounts from the hole to the bar are 7 3/8"
the width of the holes are 3/8"
the height from the floor is 7 1/4"
the height the bar sits from the mount bottom is 1"
from one end of the curve of the mount to the other end of the curve is 4 3/4"
the extension of the mount that connects to the bar is 3 1/2"
the width of the mount around the strut is 1"
the width of the bar 1 1/2"
the thickness of the bar is 3/4"

i hope these help, if u need anything else besides pics(no digi), jus lemme kno.

lightbulblxi lacks in pics, but i have some. i'm not sure if we have the same rear strut bar, so i can't really say if ours are the same or not.

http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/carlfung1/album?.dir=/car

6 pics. 1 pic showing bar itself, 2 pics showing the mounts, 1 pic showing the bar clearing the center bar on the back seat, and 2 pics showing the bar installed

and yes, the bar does it job. you can feel the stiffness after adding it in.

justin, not only looks like one of the bars you made, but IS.

sorry people, but i don't have the full specs. i remember justin talking about some details on making the bar in an old thread, but not all of it when he was selling them before the forum got reset. i can no longer find the thread.

justin made several batches of these rear strut bars for sale quite a while ago. if he wants to provide the info on how to make them, its up to him. other than that, can't really be of much help.

Well let me get everything together.. I am seriously looking at putting th turbo accord back together---first have to smog it---then from there---wooowhoo.. Have two turbo cars, the audi a4 and my toy.... I will strictly use the Rear bar money for my accord.... Like I said, give me about a month to get everything rolling again....

Hey that sounds like what i'm doing but mine will be better.
The carb/EFI bar is what I will make cause it mean more $$$ for me, but the carb guys have to have Webber or civic air box for it to work.
