Who here is from Ca and is able to pass the smog test on their car with mods on it? I got so excited looking for new parts i forgot about CA gay smog law. Please tell me what year car you have and what mods you have on it and was it hard to pass CA's smog test? I wanted to put a turbo and a bunch of other things on it so i am worried now. What mods will pass which wont?

with smog 1 u could do all the mods u wanted and u could pay "under the desk" and get it passed now it has to be all stock smog 2 so no headers, hi flo cats, muffler i think is ok, stock piping as in no short ram or CAI i even think wheels have to be to a certain size but yea basically a stock car

i hate cali

Unless you plan on swapping PGMFI in before you test I really think you should re-think your future plans. With all of the mods you want in your sig you are looking at an easy $7,000 or more. Even if you get labor at a low cost you will be paying 5 times the amount of your vehicle. It is possible to pass smog with a turbo'd vehicle, obviously they sell them stock... As far as a turbo 3rd gen... I hope you have a great deal of cash laying around.

I think with the intake you can. Certainly a new racing muffler won't be able to work. The missing cat in the muffler will screw up your smog.

That's way too expensive for that intake! You can get something better than that for cheaper if you look around! You might have to mod it a bit if it's for a different model but hey that's half the fun right!
