I used 12 guage speaker wire. You can buy it in a little kit in the car audio section of Walmart or another store like that, or even an auto parts store might have it. I would suggest going to a car audio shop and getting it in bulk for a few cents a foot.

Yeah. Just tell them what you're doing and ask what they suggest. I normally go for the biggest wire I can afford.

I have a question for you, what size wire are you using for power, and for ground? Also how did you make the ground and are you using a fuse from the battery? Cause if you didn't do one of those correctly you are in huge risk of a fire.

For my power, I used 14 feet of 4 gauge wire, for ground I used about 2 feet of 4 gauge wire and used a ring and a special screw to drill into the frame, and get a 4 gauge fuse holder and an 80 fuse.(Well depends on your amp for the fuse) What amp are you using?

Bryan.

unless you're pushing like 1000 watts RMS any 12 gauge wire will be sufficient, even that house wire they sell at Home Depot, but usually audio wires have thinner, more numerous strands. (high current vs high voltage?)

Ummm if you use home audio wire you will get engine noise because it is not insulated enough. You DON'T want to get home audio wire.

sorry I was talking about the amp-to-subwoofer cable, not preamp RCA or amp 12V power
