I was in Boise for a couple days, and was able to roust BITESIZE from bed on my way out of town, so we snapped some pics and chewed the fat for a bit. I also have some pics of the drive from Corvallis to Boise (about 1100mi.)...most of these pics are in Eastern Oregon, with the last ones being at my mom's house up in the mountains. Enjoy! :)

Actually, no, there's not much to see. It's a lot of the same. A pretty nice drive, though, nonetheless. I didn't get any pics once I came out of the Blue Mountains, but coming out of that pass, there was sleet and hail, which is sorta unnerving at 65mph. Once I got into the Columbia Gorge...ahhh...sweet rain.....allllllllllllll the way home. Oregon. Harumph.

You should've taken Highway 26 through Prineville. You could have visited my old stomping grounds, avoided the rain, and driven over a mountain pass. But... it would have taken you a LOT longer :D .

Those pictures turned out good...Next time we'll have a real race.

I thought about going through Prineville, but I really just wanted to get home :) 26 is a really pretty hwy, I've been up there a couple times. One of my favorite areas I've ever been.

And yes, we will have a real race next time :D Oh, I have some pics for you if you want them (engine, interior)

Yeah, unfortunately my pics do his paint job no justice. There's a few small blemishes, but the color itself is beautiful :) And I couldn't believe how friggin clean that engine bay was......

Yah, my paint has some cancer in a few spots, mainly the clear coat sucks ass. Whoever painted it did a shitty job on the clear coat...Yeah you gotta love my engine bay. Pretty mint!

nice mini get together. CDS, about your sunroof, that isnt stock is it? That makes your car have a better stance with the tilt sunroof. Did you install it yourself?

I'm pretty sure it's not stock, because the crossbeam thing that goes between the two doors was cut to fit the sunroof in. Facking morons. And when I bought the car there was still a footlong section of it just chillin behind the headliner holding the overhead light. Needless to say I took it out and regrounded the light.
More aggressive, huh? I'm not sure I agree with you on that one, but thanks :) I really wish it slid.

That's cause I tried to edit the color and make it a bit more true. It's a deep red...I kind messed it up :(

lol. You are the same height as my gf. I am 6'4", people laugh when they see us alking around. I have to like bend over just to kiss her :d. lol. I don't like the tilt sunroof either, a girl that goes to my school has a tilt roof on her dx hatch (aftermarket sunroof of course) and it looks kind of ghey.

Eh, we'd just pulled out from taking pics, and when the person in front of me turned off the road (4 laner w/a turn lane), we both just gunned it. I think we both got into second to start with. Ended up going 75ish in 4th in a 40mph. I got scared though cause I really can't get any more tickets, so slowed down pretty fast. Good times though :)

cdscowboy
03-31-2004, 01:43 AM
I'm not sure man...and I'm kinda doubtful I'll drive, unless I'm staying for more than two nights, cause that was a waste of gas, honestly. I'll keep you in touch though, and let you know, whether I'm flying or driving.
