OK GUYS I DONT KNOW IF MY 3G IS THE ONLY ONE THAT DOES IT OR NOT BUT AT ABOUT 5000RPM IT GETS REAL LOUD ALL OF THE SUDDEN SOUNDS KINDA LIKE A VTEC I WAS JUST SEEIN IF ANYBODY ELSES DOES :dunno:

No that does not sound like Vtec, its just high RPM. You might have a exaughst leak somewhere

It's called dual stage intake, 88 and 89 accord lxi has them.....more butterflies in the intake equals more power. Basically only the single butterflies open during low rpms......the second set opens at about 4,500 rpms, so the engine gets more oxygen to burn more fuel being dumped into it. :dunno:

You got it Bitesize, I was thinking in carbureated terms.
The reason that sounds like Vcrap is that some Vtec systems use a similar intake manifold design, IE 2 stages.

yea i remember that sound . . . . . . well that's why i got a intake systems.
it's basically like honda's "supercharger"
