is a tie rod the same as a front radius rod? someone help!!

the tie rod connects your steering rack to your suspension (behind the axle). the radius rod helps hold your front suspension in line through it's travel, connects just ahead of the axle and extends toward the front of the car and inward at about 45 degrees (if you're looking down on the chassis).
