finally went in to get my cat back done, im very happy. 2.25" piping, and the resonator gone, for only $52. got it done at a local shop where i was referred by a friend. sounds a lot better, great idle sound, but totally sweet between 1500 and 3500 rpms, after that the engine is too loud to hear the exhaust. i didn't notice anymore of a performance increase since the muffler was installed, but the sound is 20X nicer. The welding isn't the prettiest looking, but it works.
i paid $32 plus shipping for the muffler, $15 for a 4" slant cut tip, $10 to have the muffler/tip welded, and $52 for the catback piping. so my total exhaust system cost uncer $110. ill get some pics tomorrow.
