I'm positive the insurance company is going to write off my car so I'm going to buy it off them and try and fix it myself, if possible.
So once they pay me I'm going to start looking for car to drive in the meantime. I'm thinking about 4 different cars, which ever one I can find that's in a "buyable" condition I'll get that car.
1. 88-89 LXI/SEI
2. 90-93 integra GS
3. 90-93 celica GTS HB
4. 95-98 240sx (RWD:D )

hey jim if you could post some pics of the damge to yr car i would like to be of as much assitance as possiable. with some good photos i can tell you whats going on in there. if you need parts or things of that nature i can get them for you cheap. suchs as a inner fender aka unidbody. i can also get the critical frame specs to. sorry to hear about the bad new though.

I like the 240SX.
It has a real potential for a HP car.
but on the other hand it is a rear wheel drive.
i would go for integra.
it has a large selection of the engines available for it.
Integra is my choice, but you are the one who will be doing driving.

I would go for the Teg. I wouldn't buy the 3rd gen unless your car is unfixable. From a performance view, the 240 and Celica is okay. But I don't like the looks of the 240's ass and don't really like the style of the Celica at all.

The integra and the 240sx looks really cool. I say go for the 240sx since it has a 2.4 liter engine with 155hp(I believe), rwd which equal to lots of fun especially with a manual and has lots of torque(for that power slide hehe....:D). Seriously, you can't go wrong with any of them since all of them are good choices. Good Luck.

Thanks guys for the comments so far, I respect your opinions.
The reason the a 3rd gen is still on my list is because of what I was able to create with my own car. Yeah it left me wanting more power, but mine was REALLY fun in the handling department:D
And I would not have to buy the parts to do that again for another 3rd gen.

I used to own a 90 teg, so I know how nice the car is. And it's pretty much perfect because it has all the trick suspension things I could ever dream of and all the engine stuff I could ever want.
But they are in demand around here so finding a good one my be tuff. I have seen a few that were tricked out in the $3k range.

I drove a toyota GTS in 91 just for the heck of it and I was stunned at how good the car was. It had decent power, I mean it pulled pretty good. And the cars handling was way better than I'd ever imagined. In fact that car felt really snappy, like it really would tear em up and turn in is the best in my mind to anything I've test driven since. And for some reason I've found a few example that have less than 100k on the clock. They are priced the same as the teg's around here. Downside to them is aftermarket, next to none. But I think I can get the stuff that makes me happy and that's what counts to me.

The 240sx is the one I want the most of all, excellent chassis. If the one I get doesn't have LSD I can swap in a LSD diff from a 300zx cheap. The engine has decent power. But the common engine swap is a JDM SR20 something or other, I doubt I'd ever do that kind of thing. This car is more to do with wanting a excellent chassis and RWD. If I can find one of the 92-94 cars with 4 wheel steering and LSD I'll get it instead of the newer cars.

If your going to fix your accord theres no point in getting another one. My choices would be in this order.

1-The 2nd gen teg.

2- Celica only if its the awd turbo one (which is rare as hell)

3- 240sx

Thats just my opinion. All three have good power potential.

Ok I re-read what your saying. I'm interesting in getting another accord so if I can't repair mine I'll have another one. I've been kicking my self for not getting a 88-89 car and here's my chance to correct that. Like I said I might not be able to fix mine as the frame may be bent.

What I meant by that is you should get one of the three listed while you get your accord fixed. Not that you shouldn't buy another car and wait until you fix the accord. When I said theres no point in getting another one that was focused on getting another 3rd gen accord.

Looks like I was correcting myself while you were doing your own post lol. Yeah since it's really hard to find good used cars in the valley I will be looking for all those cars. The first one that comes up that I feel like buying, will be the one I get.
