Seriously i know that Lx is "luxury" but what are all the other ones? And whats the history behind them? "CVCC"????!?!

It's just something that has bothered me for a while.

DX= Deluxe, Si ( beleive is ) = Sports Inspired...... I don't remember what CVCC stood for but I know it was one of Honda first engines in the Civic. It was a SOHC Single carb 1.3L

The "i" suffix in Honda's model designation originally meant feul injected. The other designations are actually quite ambiguous, although alot of people will attribute dx to deluxe, lx to luxury, and s to sports Honda never officially gave out these designations.

CVCC stands for compound vortex controlled combustion which allowed early Honda motors to run on a very lean air/feul mixture without sacrificing performance or driveability. The result, of course, was cleaner emmisions and better feul economy. Civics were the first cars to use the technology, but it was also used in the first Accords and Preludes.

DX - This car is stripped
EX - Loaded
LX - Some good features like power options
LX-i - Same as LX, only for a 3G Accord though. It means it has Fuel injection
CX - This car really sucks, its beyond stripped
HX - Super econobox
SI - Sport something
Type R - Mad fast yo!
SE or SEi - Special edition, usually loaded to the hilt.

Sure thats not the real answers, but its the truth.

Actually, with the Integra trims, it's more like:
RS - Rally Sport
LS - Luxury Sport
LS Special - Luxury Sport Special
GS - Grand Sport
GSR - Grand Sport Racing
Type R - Type Racing

...and Kroy, I don't wanna be Vtec cuz I AM the VTEC!! :D
