If the sub is dual voice coil, I would wire it like this:

But if it is single voice coil, im afraid this would be your best option:

Whoa Whoa wait a minute. Is the sub dual voice coil or singe? What is the Ohm rating for the coils? Is your amp 2 2 channel or one? Can it be bridged if it's 2 channel? These are questions that need answers before you do anything.

You will only be able to get it down to 2 ohms. Hook the coils up in series, if you hook them up in parallel, you'll be running at 8 ohms.
