Hi guys

A view under the shelf at the back of my JBLs, the little box is the crosover and the coloured wires go up to the tweeter

This is all you see of the rear speakers

looks nice, but you shoulda put the tweets up front where you'll hear them beter.

Yeah looks good, but why did u put the tweeters in the back? Although they may hit the glass and reflect front they really should be aimed directly at your ears, highs are extremely directional.

Very right. Also, make sure to put the drivers and the tweeters kind of close together. For example, if the drivers for the speakers are in the rear and the tweeters are mounted on the front dash, it will sound very weird. Try to keep them at the most 2-3 feet apart.

Well the back drivers and tweeters are about 2 inches apart, when I get round to it i'll drill a couple of holes in the shelf and mount them on the angled part. Putting the wires thru the grille at the back was kindof a quick fix anyway. I'm getting the same set of speakers for the front soon so it'll all be sounding good. Then maybe an amp under the passenger seat (i'm going for the descreet look for security) to finish it off. Maybe a sub in the boot too.

The front lenses where really easy to make, its part of the cover off a flourescent light (the one you guys have dont fit as in the UK they have parking lights and turn signals in the same unit).

I'm bidding on some alloy wheels on ebay at the moment too cos I HATE THOSE STEELS!!! :gun: :beat:

how long does it take to make those?

DR1VER

Not too long at all. I used a stanly knife to cut it but its really awkward because its so brittle. I think its better if you heat it up but I just about managed without. I also sprayed the bulb housing with Chrome effect spray because it looks better than the white

They're a horrible thing to make, its the kinda thing you only wanna do once cos its so frustrating. Not particularly difficult tho, i'm no DIY expert, just get hold of a light cover (the ones with lines are better because you can cut along them) and get a sharp knife. It took me about an hour from removing the origionals to getting the new ones on the car. I'd like to see someone elses version.

Is that a stock rear bumper? And what are those lights in the bumper, extra turn signals? Don't the rear light module already have signals? Just curious.

I believe those are just reflectors that came on all euro and JDM accords.

I wonder how it would look like with an 88-89 USDM bumper... I bet it would enhance the look!

Those are fog lights ;)

Yeah, they're foglights, they came on all UK models. They dont have them on cars in the US so we had a bolt on one for our Corvette (just for MoT day of course). I'm gonna go tint that other back window now.

Anyone happen to know the exact measurements of our front combination light lens? I'm at work, cars at home so I can't measure, but I've found an old flourescent light cover that I can hack on so need the measurements.
Thanks.

if i where you i'd take it home and draw around the origional light to get the exact measurements. The US ones might be different to UK ones so I wont give you the measurements of mine. Be sure to put some pics up when they're done! Good luck
