18" is overkill. all you will have is rim and no rubber.
go with 17".

I agree, not only will it slow you down significantly but in addition, you ride will be bumpier because of a lower profile and less "cusion" on you tire between the rim and the top of the tire itself. With that taken into consideration I wouls reccomend upgrading your suspension components if you still decide to goto 18s. (i.e. struts & shocks, springs, camber kit and shims).

Good luck with your selection though.

18's IMHO look like wagon wheels on our cars. All rim and no rubber. I'l REALLY suprised my car rides as well as it does with 17's. I still don't like the ride ALOT but oh well I should have gotten 16's. 18's+potholes or other road problems=bent wheels because theres no rubber to cushion the impact

16's rule, but anyway. If it's a show car go with 18's, if it's a daily driver, you'll be sorry.

THATS NOT FAIR!! that accord in that picture has smooth roads so 18's arent a problem. I think my ride in SF is bumpy with 15inch and 50series sidewall..lol

bodykit question number 500 since i joined a year ago....

18's are crazy on a 3g...aren't you guys afraid of potholes?

my 15's are cool, especially when dodging some 3g swallowing potholes

ICEMAN707

i never drive on unknown roads. i dont take shortcuts on bad backroads when i'm driving the lxi. also, i barely drive the lxi now since bought my sei and teg. besides, florida has been really good at keeping up with highway maintenance. especially here in orlando. plenty of nice smooth roads here. i never hit a pothole since i've had my rims a lil over a year now. no dings, no scratches at all.

also, i usually turn on my hazards when going over a bad patch of railroad tracks and go easy over them. that's the only thing i really worry about around here. but i know where the bad railroad crossings are. i hate when they don't maintain the rubber/asphalt patching on those railroads. but most newer railroad crossings i've seen are steel metal diamondplate material and are smooth to go over.

it may be bodykit question 500 but it takes that much for people to answer specific questions for people that dont know as much as the rest of you.
