Drop this into a '89 Coupe! F20C! :p

I was thinking about it, and if you have your own materials to fabricate mounts and you are willing to take the time to wire everything, it would just take time and some loot.

yeah, really. You will be needing all the linkage and everything from that S2K to do the swap, plus making mounts to have the engine sit that way too.

Not to mention having to make a custom drive shaft and get an axel for the Rear wheel drive, but it would be cool.

i believe there is a FWD tranny that mounts up the the s2k motor. That swap would take an incredible amount of money and time to do. It would be a sick swap, but WAY too unecinomical to be practicle.

what about trying to run the CRV running gear in the 3g? Just like what they did in the integra in one of the tuning magazines a while back.

As you probably know, the car is the least important part in drifting, it's all up to the driver. I'm sure Keichi Tsuchia could win the series with a Honda S800... :)

I dont think that the S2000 block is all that crazy, i dont like the way it makes the power and let alone where it makes it. Yeah it puts out 240 outta a dinky 2L without forced induction.

There is a turbo CRX with CRV awd system kicking ass.

So i dont think and AWD accord would be an impossible task. I have talked about it before but its more of a waste of money to become unique with an awd accord. besides, i dont mind doing it unless i have a lot of money.

Yea if I could find a junked CRV, I have an extra accord that could use a trans plant. Then with some money into material I can fab and weld anything I would need. Now if I can find some one that junked there CRV.........

What about the Civic's? I might be mistaken but i think there was a 3rd gen civic with 4WD?

Justin86

I know they did a AWD swap on a Integra before never heard about it done on a Civic.

thegreatdane
05-08-2004, 01:06 PM
No no, a Civic with 4WD straight from the factory. It might have been the Shuttle? At least I know there was a Honda in the mid 80's with 4WD.

i remember seeing a Corolla 86 that had a F20C in the engine bay. Custom everything. Cost about 4.4 million yen to build. RWD accord should cost more.

not the same one I've seen but here is one

Notice how theese cars are Toyotas yet? Did Nissan build a car called "Corolla"? I think not. You might also note that the entire car-loving community agrees on this car beeing a Toyota. I mean, it even has a "Toyota" badge on the tailgate

http://www2.famille.ne.jp/~m-nemoto/mycar/ae86-02.jpg
http://www.students.dsu.edu/burrin/pacrim86.jpg

Also, do a Google search, enter "Nissan Trueno" and find 0 results. Enter "Toyota Trueno" and find like 93524325 results.

Theese cars are also known as:
-AE86 (it's modelcode)
-Trueno (retractable headlights)
-Levin (stationary headlights
-Sprinter (it's the name it's sold under in Japan)
-GT Apex (a sportier version of it)
-Corolla (what it's called in the rest of the world)
-GT-S (often follows the "Corolla"-badge on the European models)
-GT5 or GL5 (wich follows the "Corolla" badge in the USA)

even the US had Corolla GTS, and they were AE92 body style. FWD and flip-up lights. Pretty quick and good handeling car.

OK maybe you guys missed that hint. There is an all wheel drive Accord in Japan.
Want proof?
http://www.honda.co.jp/democar/accord/sedan/20el.html
See in Japan the new Accord is actually the TSX that we have to overpay for.
The Japanese call our version of the Accord the Accord EX ( I call it the fatass Accord)

they also have a AWD USDM modified accord. you might have come across that in the autoshow, its the yellow one with the electric motors that drive the rear wheels. Supposedly to compete against the porches and what not. Pretty hot idea, but i guess thats where it stopd, i dont know. :)
