dust shield rattling fix?

I have had this problem for awhile now, it is getting very annoying, very loud. I searched and I am alomost 100% sure it is the dust shield, but no one ever mentions how to fix this problem. :dunno:

i have pulled all 4 of mine off.

Take some sheet metal shears and cut the bitches off, or remove them nicely. I could think of other ways, but if you will notice, they rarely do their job...

My right front shield was rusted and making all kinds of noise, so I just yanked it off. I should probably take off the other ones too.

this may seem stupid, but where are they?

I haven't looked at the ones in the back, but the fronts are right behind the brake rotors. It's just a thin metal disc that sits behind the brakes.
