Well, a week ago I got my car out of storage... damn I missed the thing.

It's been a long time since I took pictures of my car and I had a new cam to test :)

I cleaned the enginebay with simple green (does wonders) and I took some pics. The weather was really cloudy so I'll take new ones once it's really sunny outside.

Here is what the enginebay looks like once cleaned with simple green (notice my new DC sports strut bar.... thanks Mike)

Those pics seem to have a blue effect on them...

I took a "retro" picture of the car.. I like it.

Notice the SE-I exhaust... quiet and good looking.

Thanks

Looks nice and i know the feeling of not being able to drive your car for so long. My car will probably never see snow/rain again since its going into the body shop soon. Your car is so clean for being in canada but i guess its because you park it for the worst months of the year.

I got a casio QV-R40. 4mp. Very nice cam for the price.

The enginebay pictures were taken with a high color saturation. That's what makes the blue stand out (and red also)

I took a picture of my interior with no particular filter. You can see my new headrests and the nice blye armrest :)

The headrest doesn't match the seats perfectly so I'll get it redone with the exact same fabric from the seats.

I like the way they look tough.

Just clean the enginebay with a stuff called: Simple Green. It does wonders, doesn't stink and is earth friendly :)

Hey carot, how did you go about cleaning the engine bay? Just spray the Simple Green on and then hose it off? Are there areas that I would need to avoid with the hose? I've always been afraid to take a hose to my engine, even though it's in dire need of a cleaning.

carotman
06-28-2004, 11:09 AM
yup, just spray and hose it off. You can use a gentle brush or toothbrush for heavy dirt or grease.... most of the time you will need to use a brush if the enginebay is really dirty. The only cautious spots where you don't want too much water are the Distributor and the alternator. Just cover those spots with a plastic grocery bag.
