i read through the how-to section about this swap and it looks very promising for me to be able to do, my question is, since a first gen integra had a D16A1 or D16A3 engine, does that mean that i can use any D series tranny? thanks any help would be greatly appreciated.

theres a sticky in technical with all the tranny codes. I did this quite awhile back but I believe the tranny code for the teg tranny is CG. Thats the tranny code you want to find. 86-89 integra

If you mean using the gears out of any D series engine, I don't know. Remember, you have to switch the bellhousing, so it would have to mate up with the other portion of the tranny you use, unless you use the Accord tranny casing completely.

Openloop has done custom gearing, as well as one other guy in the UK, who I forget the name of. It's not an easy thing, but it makes for a great tranny for whatever style driving you do.
